What You’ll Cook (Menu & Experience)
Paella (group paella): build the flavour base, add stock and spices, and time the rice so it’s tender and full of flavour. We cook one large paella together in a traditional paellea and share it at the table.
Tapas (two dishes): examples include
- Pan con tomate (tomato-rubbed bread with olive oil & sea salt)
- Pimientos de Padrón (seared green peppers)
- Garlic prawns or Spanish tortilla (menu varies with season and ingredients)
Drinks: classic sangría or a non-alcoholic fruit drink.
We finish by plating up, taking photos, and enjoying the meal together.
What You’ll Learn:
- Flavour base: the simple sauté that gives Spanish dishes depth.
- Rice timing: when to add stock, how to test doneness, and how to rest the pan.
- Tapas techniques: knife skills, sautéing, seasoning—and safe torching where used.
- Seasoning & balance: how salt, acidity and heat work (and how to fix “flat” flavours).
- Hosting at home: scaling recipes, swapping ingredients, and plating tips.
